SELF PORTRAIT

This piece was my first work done through Procreate when I got it around the time, seeing what the workflow was like for the software. This self-portrait involved my internet persona I refer to as Dalt and was also a bit of a snapshot of how I felt at the time when I was in my senior year at my university. It felt that I was not in control of my own plans or even decisions, indicated by the large hand in the background.
PROCESS
The process of making this piece was fairly straightforward, creating the initial sketch, adjusting and adding details throughout the line art phase, add the flat colors on after, and render the piece with the shading. The biggest challenge while making the piece was the hand as I wanted to go for a more detailed route if it is going to be that huge for the piece, opting to use my own hand for reference during the sketch phase.
